A Compact Way to Print

A compact printer is one of the things that many people (especially those in the work place) are after. This is because these printers are smaller and more efficient compared to the printers of old. Since they are more compact in make, space utilization no longer poses as a problem. You do not have to worry about where to put a much needed cabinet or drawer since you already have the extra room that you need. Back in its early days, a printer would have taken so much of your office space that you have no choice but to make do with the file storage units that you already possess. Adding a new unit would mean that you would have to adjust your printing device so as to accommodate the new cabinet or drawer. With compact printers, you would not have to worry about bad print outs any more (that is, not always). This is because they have better printing quality that their primitive counterparts. Though speed can sometimes still be an issue, modern day printers work faster and better than the old ones thus making them a must-have for anyone.

One example of a compact printer is the HP6500. This printer has quick-access controls that are quite easy to understand. It has memory card slots which are located at its bottom left. It accepts SD, MMC and MemoryStick cards. It connects via USB or Ethernet. You could go wireless, but you would have to get another version for that purpose.

There are many reviews that you could find about the aforementioned Hewlett-Packard printer. According to one HP6500 review, though the said device tells of a 32 page-per-minute and a 31 ppm speed for color and mono prints, respectively, it only runs at 6 ppm using the default settings. Once you change to draft mode, the speed increases, but the quality of the prints somehow turn out to be not that good anymore. On the other hand, the said HP6500 review also says that the device is good for printing photos, and that each print out has good quality.
