For anyone that has raised children in the 80’s you probably had some version of a Nintendo that would have had old Nintendo games. Of course the most well known are the Super Mario games. Mario and his brother Luigi were always off stomping gumbas and trying to find the Princess. With friends like Toad always willing to help, the adventure never seemed to end. It really did continue with the scores of next edition games such as Super Mario 2, Doctor Mario and even an alternate personality named Wario.
There were also other character games such as Donkey Kong where Mario and his friends would still put in an appearance. Then came the racing games where you could pit all your Mario characters against each other in various road racing events. Of course, the old games also included versions of arcade classics such as Frogger, Pac-man and Space Invaders. The SNES games continued in the same style, but had a bit better graphics to them than the original games. The SNES introduced a new style of gaming soon to be known as the RPG. With the American version of Final Fantasy 3, Chronotrigger and Castlevania, gaming was taking a leap into a whole new direction.
According to the SNES Games Guide, some of these original games in mint condition can be worth some money today. The problem is that a lot of the technology used in designing these early games is easy to reproduce so the games themselves are widely available for download on the Internet. The Legend of Zelda games are also popular among gamers as one of the original RPG games. The Mario Brothers games and Yoshi games are not as widely available for distribution on the Internet because they have copyright protection, which seems to be upheld by a lot of gamers. If you are looking to sell and have these games, you might make a better deal.
