Canon has taken the already best selling Canon S90 digital camera and improved on it by releasing the Canon S95 digital camera which is already starting to grace top ten digital camera lists on both traditional print and online magazines and publications.

If there’s one feature that the Canon S95 has that makes this a best digital camera for 2010 as opposed to just another digital camera release, it’s the fast f/2.0 lens that Canon has equipped the new Canon Powershot with. Up until the release of the Canon S90, such a fast lens with such a wide aperture was impossible, or so we thought.

Most digital cameras today offer much slower lens selection and this is usually to get a digital camera down to a price point – usually digital cameras under $100 (street price) but to do so most digital cameras suffer with slow lenses and high ISOs that offer less than ideal results, both in video and still image performance.

But with the Canon S95 and the fast f/2.0 fixed aperture lens that translates into one thing and that’s more light getting to the digital camera’s sensor. The result is a best selling digital camera that offers unmatched low light performance at real world ISO’s, making the S95 a perfect travel camera due to the small size and fast lens ( the fact that it takes standard SD/SDHC memory cards is a big plus too)

Lastly, aside from the fast lens the Canon S95 offers all you would expect from a modern point and shoot digital camera including HD video recording, 10 megapixels of resolution for great looking images and prints and a four way image stabilization system so blurry photos are never a problem with this best selling Powershot digital camera from Canon that’s hard to beat, especially for the fast lens and low selling price.
