There are several options out there, but for what I need it for I choose a Kindle.  The Kindle is very nice and it gives me the best selection of books.  I am able to store up to 3,500 books on it and that makes it very nice for me.  I was worried if I would have to charge it everywhere, but the other great thing about the Kindles is that they have such a long battery life. I was torn between getting the Kindle DX or the the Kindle 3.  Although, the Kindle 3 is much lighter and easier to carry around I choose to get a Kindle DX.

The Kindle DX has the most books to select from.  They have over 670,000 books that you can select from.  119 of the 122 New York Times Bestselling books and if I want a free book they have over 1.8 million to choose from.  A couple of those books are Treasure Island and Pride and Prejudice.  It will be a little heavier in my bag, but I was happy with how many books I could choose from.  I am really happy that my friend recommended looking for an e-reader.  I am one step closer to having one bag to carry around on my trip to Europe.

To access search, click on the Start button. The search box appears right above the Start button. As soon as you start typing something into the search box, Vista will bring up the results of your search immediately, and refine it as you type in more letters. Now here is the real beauty of this feature: Vista does not only search for (data) files as previous versions of Windows did. Try typing in Exc in the search box and see what happens. Vista brings up 3 types of search results: Programs, Files and Communications. Let’s talk about programs first. Have you ever installed a program on your computer only to have the shortcut to it disappear and you can’t find it on the start menus anymore? Or, try another scenario – you want to configure IIS but don’t know where to find it under the multiple options in control panel. Simply typing in Exc will let Vista show you the Excel program, IIS the configuration of IIS and SPI the new Spider solitaire game. If every Vista training course covered this option, it would save us a lot of time and effort.

The Communications section of the search results in an interesting one in that it brings up all the mail items that contain the phrase. Yes, this search is also possible from within Outlook, but using Vista search could in some cases produce results a lot faster. Incidentally, if you hover your mouse over a communication search result you can see who the sender was and the date on which it was sent. Right clicking the item even allows you to move the item or gives more refined search option.

1. Tuff Luv iPad Cases have to be a firm favorite. They produce two versions that look very much like a traditional book cover when closed, but incorporate stands for viewing the tablet at a variety of angles.  Available in tough Napa leather or faux leather for the vegetarians, they come in four colors (brown, black, pink and red).  These are a good protector for the iPad, but practical for viewing too.  I have to admit they do add some weight though so if you like to hold your iPad for reading you will notice a difference.
2. Simple leather iPad sleeves like those produced by Targus Hughes are great for keeping your iPad covered on the go.  Really these are just simple pouches but buy one with great quality oiled leather and they can look fantastic.  Best of all it means you get to use your iPad as Apple intended, without any additional covering or bulk.
3. Finally the oh so simple Boxwave Manila iPad case.  This look just like a jiffy padded envelope but is produced from manila colored leather.  The fastening is just like on an old fashioned mailing envelope giving your iPad a real understated, classic look.  For a cover that is just a little bit different, but still offers great protection with its soft interior and extra padding the Boxwave Manila Envelope is a show-stopper.

So there you have it my current three favorite leather iPad cases.  Now trust me, my favorites keeps on changing as more and more manufacturers release more new designs, but for now at least, this is definitive!
