Waiting For The Winter Sales Period

Last year I managed to get a couple of very good deals during winter sales. I for one got a brand new laptop for around 400 bucks, and was a pretty solid one, 15.4 inches, dual core, 2 GB of RAM, decent integrated graphics, etc. It was also a HP, so a pretty reliable brand. definitely was satisfied with the device, as from last years’ sale period till now it has worked as good as it did in the day i opened the box.

I got mine online, as i am kind of lazy and all and i managed to find the best price for it on Buy.com during the Cyber Monday sales period, the next Monday after Thanksgiving. Cyber Monday has grown a lot in the last years and became one of the best day to looks for bargains and deals online. All the big stores have them, Amazon, Newegg, Walmart. And you don’t get just electronics, although these are the most interesting, but also all kind of stuff, like clothes, jewelry, apparel, movies, etc. So in a way, it’s a perfect way to get you Christmas presents, if you have the money at the moment (in early December).

My parents also managed to get a brand new 40 inch LCD TV from Sony (a Bravia if I’m not mistaken) for like half the price of what it cost one month before. They got it on a offline deal from Best Buy on Black Friday, while battling with the horde of angry shoppes ) Still, a very good product i would also liked to get for the money they paid. But who knows, perhaps i might get on this year.

And speaking of this year’s sales period, I’m starting to put together my list and organize my budget. I’m hoping deals will get even better this year, with the crisis and all, cause shops will try to sell even more in order to compensate the low levels at the beginning of the year.
