Kindle 3 Price Falling

Not too long before the release of the latest generation Kindle, the cost to buy one of these electronic readers fell. The Kindle 3 price is now under $200 for both of the 6″ models. At the time of writing, the unit with 3G and Wi-Fi connectivity is $50 more expensive than the one with just the Wi-Fi.

You may feel that $50 is a lot of money, or perhaps not. But I would suggest that unless both your work place and home are already set up with Wi-Fi then choosing the 3G Kindle is a better idea. This is because regardless of where you are, you will be able to download books whenever you feel like it.

The longer you leave it to buy a Kindle, the more the price is going to fall. In some respects I find this quite surprising. The Kindle technology is improving yet the price is falling. How can this be? It may be to do with the fact that Amazon continue to sell more and more of these electronic reader devices which will be increasing their profits and might also be driving the cost of production down. Also, as technology advances, it may just be the case that it actually becomes cheaper to make these gadgets.

If you like to read, I would not wait to long before you get a Kindle though. This is because they are simply fantastic. To be honest, the Kindle 3 is the only e-book reader that I have used. So I cannot give you a comparison with other machines such as the Barnes and Noble, Nook. But what I can say is that I am really impressed with both the Kindle reader that I got and also the way the system works.

Free access to download books via 3G is really cool. On top of this, there are so many free titles that we can download it is not even funny. The Kindle 3 is the bomb!
