Have you ever had the feeling when you accidently delete a file that you were meant to keep? When you delete that important document that you needed for work. Or maybe it was that special family photo? Either way, you want that file back. But you’ve already checked in the recycle bin and it’s not there for some reason. Maybe it bypassed it. Maybe the recycle bin got emptied. What now? Well you could try to recover the file through the use of a program that was designed specifically for that purpose.
When you delete a program it is usually sent to the recycle bin. Although if it bypasses the recycle bin (you can do this by holding down SHIFT when you delete it) or it is deleted from the recycle bin (this can happen by the recycle bin becomming to full or it being emptied) it can be very hard to recover. When a file is deleted from the recycle bin, it is not actually deleted. Let me say that again it is not actually deleted. The file is only marked as free space. This means that it will eventually be written over. Once this happens it will be alot harder to recover deleted files.
There are some programs that are designed to read the hard drive’s free space to try to find these deleted files. Using This software, you can use a program to recover deleted files.
Some othese programs include:
- Recover My Files is a software that scans your hard drive to find all of your deleted files.
- Smart Undelete is a program that allows you to recover files that were deleted by viruses and other permanently deleted files.
- PC Tools File Recovery 8 is a piece of software that can scan other types of portable media and can recover multiple file types at once.
As you can see, there are many different programs to recover your deleted files!
