I believe that the number one cell phone tracker application that you can choose from is the Sprint Family Locator. The other free cell phone tracking apps that people commonly use are Find My iPhone, Google Latitude, Glympse, and MobiWee.
Because the Sprint Family Locator has so many features that other free phone locator applications are missing, I believe it is the best of all of the cell phone tracking apps. Even though it costs $5.00 for a month’s use of the service, I still believe that it’s the best.
In this day and age, it’s not uncommon for children to have to walk home from school or ride the bus home from school and watch themselves while the parents continue their work day. Many parents were in the situation worry quite often and whether not their children are getting home from school safely and on time. With the Sprint Family Locator, there is a feature that you can set up that will send you an automatic text message at the time of day of your choosing. It’s very easy to configure this and you can set it up so that when your children get home from school and you will get a text message that gives lets you know your kids made it home safely.
The free cell phone tracking applications won’t work unless you have one of the modern programmable smart phones and you connect it to the Internet, download the cell phone tracking application, and install it on your phone. My children don’t have these modern programmable smart phones so if I wanted to use the free cell phone tracking applications, I would’ve had to upgrade their cell phones. This wasn’t the case with the Sprint Family Locator. The Sprint Family Locator will work with any Nextel or Sprint cell phone without a problem.
Many people are still interested in free cell phone tracking because they want to save a little bit of money and not pay the $5.00 a month. What they may not realize is that in order to use these free cell phone tracking applications, they will have to subscribe to a data service with their cell phone service provider so they’ll actually have to pay the amount that their cell phone service provider charges them for Data Service. The Sprint cell phone locator doesn’t require you to subscribe to a data plan.
