Lenovo makes some amazing laptops and their thinkpad laptop line is no exception. I’ve personally used more of these models than I can count and currently own 3. While I can’t say for sure what exactly makes these laptops so good, I have to say that they have all served me very well. They come in a wide variety of sizes and are very affordable. They also have some unique features that I really like such as pull out second screens, multitouch touchpads, and integrated fingerprint readers. Not to mention Lenovo is very conscious of the environment and it’s reflected in their notebooks and laptops which are all very green.
Here is a list of all the different series’ of the Lenovo thinkpad laptops.
- SL Series
- ThinkPad Edge
- R Series
- T Series
- X Series
- X Series Tablet
- W Series
Earlier I mentioned how affordable thinkpad laptops were. They truely have a particular model to fit into everyon’s budget. On the Lenovo website they list the MSRP’s which is the manufacturers suggested retail prices which for the thinkpad line is $499 to $1149. I’m sure you’re aware that you can almost certainly find every model of these for cheaper than the MSRP listed on their website. Places such as Amazon offer great deals on Lenovo laptops.
All the thinkpad laptops come with some form of the widly popular Core 2 Duo processor by Intel. They also all have the latest and greatest operating system from Microsoft, Windows 7. When it comes to weight you’ve also got a wide range of options. The smaller models that are around 11.6 inches in size weight in at 2.93 lbs which is extremely portable. If you’re looking for something a bit larger you can get a thinkpad laptop that’s a bit larger or go all the way up to a 17 inch model that weights in around 5.8 lbs.
One of the features I love most about the thinkpad laptop computer is the integrated fingerprint reader I mentioned in the beginning of this article. It’s a great security feature that’s much more secure than any password you can think of. You’ve also got the ability to add multiple people to the fingerprint reader so you don’t have to worry about only you being able to access your computer.
The other great thing the Lenovo laptops computers are starting to come with is a multitough touchpad. That lets you use more than one finger on the trackpad at the same time to manipulate things on the screen such as photos or video.
I’m also really proud of Lenovo for producing such green notebooks. While they aren’t the greenest ones of the market, they are definitely taking a step in the right direction when it comes to watching out for the environment. The thinkpad laptop battery is also amazing, but make sure you recycle it when you purchase a new laptop, Lenvo and the environment will help you. If you’ve got a thinkpad laptop and want to let me know your experience’s with it feel free to leave a comment below.
